The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) has awarded the prestigious ‘Chartered Insurance Brokers' title to Walmsleys Commercial Insurance Brokers Ltd, one of the North West's leading providers of insurance advice and support for businesses.

New car registrations were down 18.6% in September to 63,225 compared with the same month in 2007*, which are the worst sales figures reported in the last 40 years. Declining consumer confidence is hitting sales throughout Europe. Although the used car market sales are healthy by comparison, dealers have been struggling with eroded margins in what is turning out to be a buyers' market.
New team members
Leading Wigan-based Commercial Insurance Broker, Walmsleys Commercial (WCIB), are pleased to announce further expansion to their successful operation.
Phil Wall has joined the firm from Wallwork Jenson and Charter, who are based in Preston, and is an addition to the ever expanding commercial team. Geoff Ditchfield has re-joined the firm in the same role. Phil and Geoff's roles will be focused on client development in the area. Chris Lawson has also joined the WCIB commercial team as an Account Executive and will support Phil and Geoff in their new roles.
